Alarm issues

Hi. Having alarm issues. Driving me nuts. I have a 95 Nissan maxima. Two years ago someone tried breaking in by breaking the handle. I put it back in place.

Now My alarm goes off when..

It rains
I leave the FOB in the car
Randomly in the middle of the night when it's cold

I have had this issue at random annoying times and it is driving me crazy waking up to my alarm in the middle of the night.

After doing some reading I found that dismantling the hood switch should do the trick. I just dismantled it today and so far no alarm but my security dash light still blinks. I am not great with alarms and cars so if someone can help me fight sleepless nights and great deals of anxiety, I would greatly appreciate it.

If I dismantled the hood switch and closed my hood, I read it should trick my alarm into not arming. But would my security light still flash if that were true?

Please help!

sounds to me like your switch in the handle was damaged when it was snapped out of place, may just be a loose wire in the handle itself.

go to a shop and tell them to inspect loose wires or out of place around the driver door area, they just have to take off the panel inside to see whats causing it, when it rains it probably is leaking water inside it..
