Shudder on Acceleration after front strut change
Hello,
I knew my front strut cartridges were bad, so I ordered the complete units awhile ago. I received the Monroe Quick Strut assemblies, and changed out just one of them on Wednesday when I had time.
I started with the Front Left.
After the change out, my car shook pretty badly upon acceleration. It seemed one sided, as in I turn right while accelerating and it's smooth. I turn left while accelerating, and it's bad. Also just straight it's bad.
To this plebe, I could swear it's the passenger CV joint, but I couldn't possibly comprehend how I damaged the right CV joint working on the left side of the car.
So maybe it will clear itself up when I change the passenger strut. Nope. It's definitely there, and definitely not good.
I changed the control arms a year ago with new ball joints. And they don't look terrible. The wheel hub moves around a bit with the struts off, but completely assembled, there's not any play at the 12/6 3/9 at the wheels.
How can a strut job cause this?
Any thoughts are appreciated, thanks.

Hah.
Just watched the fights, had myself some brews... and *crossing fingers* concluded I didn't tight the two strut to knuckle bolts hard enough...
Praying that it's the problem. Will report tomorrow.
