cup holder removable?

Is it possible to remove the cup holder? (for cleaning) It looks like a seperate piece that seems removable...

I'm not sure if it's suppose to be removable, I think it's glued in place, but mine came out and it is easier to clean. It stays in place pretty well on it's own though w/o the glue.

you really don't want to remove it... it can be removed, but you risk breaking the plastic tabs that hold it in place, then you'll never get it back in right without superglue

When I got my car, it was a little lose. I eventually broke it off some how, and it never stayed in place anymore. I swapped it into my friends parents 99 max, which is slightly different. The 99 used arms instead of little clip and plugs to hold it in. So it stayed fine in my 98. I put my holder with the broken pegs in the 99 and its stayed in for some reason. So Yes you can take it out.

Me too. I can take it out and put it back in no problem, and it's not loose. Don't remember if it has a part number on the bottom...

mine came out too, but instead of breaking on the little tabs, or the clips, it broke on the hole the tab fits in, so its pretty mutch screwed

Cup holders ehhh....

Well my cupholder has always been a litte loose, but this is a great thing. My cups stay in just fine, big gulps to courtesy cups... but being a little underage for certain specialty drinks, i just drop the goods in there and my worries dissapear. Its the greatest hiding spot!!!!
PS. if people come back and turn this thread into a DUI thread it was not my purpose. I may be to young to drink, but i'm not stupid enough to pick up some keys and drive intoxicated
