Jet Performance is a so so company.

From what i was hearing, Jet performance doesn't do anything. Some people say that they did really gain anything, but some people said that they noticed a little bit. But it sounded that they were unsure. Correct me if im wrong but, Jet's ECU piggybacks the stock computer, thus making very small to no change at all. But if someone does have the Jet perfomance ECU upgrade and has seen a big improvement tell me, cuz im still trying to find a decent ECU upgrade, for a resonable price. Payce

Well there's only 2 others to consider, so don't expect to find much. JWT, G-Force (UPRD) and now Jet.

Chebosto has a GD going on for people who want to upgrade their ECU's to G-Force for $450.

I dont think we have seen any independent dyno tests of the Jet. Until then, their HP claims are BS to me...

What are the realized HP gains from the JWT and G-Force ECUs, and is this a plug-n-play or do you have to send in your stock ECU for reprogram?

With the--

JWT ECU you must send you ecu for reprogramming.

G-Force I'm not sure check http://www.seas.ucla.edu/~cheston/uprd.html

I have the Jet Ecu piggyback upgrade. I didnt really notice any hp gains, but i did notice that the rpms went up faster. So, the car went a little faster. Not bad for 200 bucks i guess. Anyway, I took it out cause it was interfering with my CAI install, so if anyone wants to buy it for cheap, i got it.

What exactly do you mean? I don't think a CAI is supposed to muck anything up with the ECU...

Jet reprograms your ECU. They are the company that Stillen sends their ECUs to. JWT is promising higher gains. I'm not sure how much for a N/A max but a rep promised me 350hp on a s/c max w/ 300zxtt injectors.

personally i would say save the $400 and spend it on something else JET won't give u **** and the others provide minimal gains for the $$. Unless you have a freaky car like Nabils that gained like 20hp, and wait just a minute, where the hell did Nabil go anyways? Does he ever post here anymore?

All the dynos I've seen of UPRD and JWT ECUs look good, lots of torque in the midrange, on the order of 15 lbs or more. Thats not bad for $450 and $525. About the same dollar per torque gain as a y-pipe. I'm still seriously considering going all out on the JWT NOS and NA ecu combo... but its $1500 plus I'll need guages, fuel pump, bottle heater, nitrous pressure guage, purge valve, etc etc etc. I don't know if its worth it, I'd end up spending like $2500.

Howdy fellas,

Just thought I'd say hi and that I'm still around (and kicking), although you're right, I hardly ever venture to these forums anymore...

And to give this post some Maxima content. My Maxima now has the honorable title of a Garage Queen since I only drive it every other weekend or so... But man, let me say that it's a treat everytime I sit behind the wheel and give the VQ a whif of gasoline, especially compared to my daily driver (Cressida I6, RWD, SlowMatic).

Anyway, on my last outing in my Max (2 weekends ago) I happened to see a white 95/96 GXE/GLE with exhaust & 17" wheels heading south on the 405. Anyone from here? You've got a nice car. I was the guy with the semi-slammed white 96SE with 17" TE37 wheels who pulled past you doing some unholy speed only to have to suddenly demonstrate the eye popping grip of the Porterfield pads and abort our race due to heavy traffic... Too bad there weren't other opportunities to play somemore...
