MAF sensor??

So my car had problems starting after changing my ignition switch, had me scratching my head for a week I changed a lot of parts....my car starts then dies in 3 seconds (this wasn't a problem before) someone said MAF sensor, so I unplugged it and, my car runs....but how can I tell if it's the connectors or the actual MAF? I had continuity on the MAF.....then if it's my connectors, how the hell to I replace that because doesn't it go straight the the ecm with the rest of the wires?
