Long - GC and AGX/KYB Install questions

I've ordered both the AGX/KYB and GCs and after looking through the stickies I've decided to install the following (taken from the stickies) when I upgrade my suspension. I'm looking for comments/advise and answers to some of my questions. In particular is there anything I don't need on this list or have I missed anything. I have a high milage 95 and thought it would be a good idea to replace everything.

PARTS:
1. GC coilovers and AGX KYB
2. helical split electrical wire wrap and/or clear vinyl tubing for noise.
3. -
Front -
-Strut Bearing 54325-5V000 $13.73/ea
-Strut Spacer 54329-39U00 ($6.61/ea x2)
-Strut Dust Cover (Boot) 54050-31U01 (I bought the AGX dust boots – do I still need these?)
-Rubber seat 54034-0W000 (or 54034-85E10)
-Polyurethane sleeve 54034-85E10

Rear -
-Strut Spacer 56218-61L10 (x2)
-Dust Cover (Boot) 55240-01A00 (I bought the AGX dust boots – do I still need these?)
-Rubber Seat 55034-31U00
-Polyurethane sleeve 55031-33P10
-Cover Washer 55248-01U00 (What is this – do I need it?)
Isolation Bushing 56218-61L10 (What is this – do I need it?)
-Bushings – Do I need bushings for both the front and rear? How difficult are they to install.

Do I need Strut bearing for both the front and the rear?

I'm really looking forward to doing this, thanks everyone.

My understanding is that you need the rear cover washer & isolation bushing...the AGX's don't come with these parts. Everything else is just replacing worn parts...or parts that you think are worn. I have heard that the AGX boots won't fit on the OEM strut mounts...stick with the OEM boots unless you are changing the mounts as well.

umm, I did not buy any of that stuff. My car is a 99 so most of the stuff was fairly new. I just bought the GC's and the struts and left it at that.

oh by the way, for the front struts, you are going to have to grind the shiet of the metal ring on the strut in order to get the threaded sleeve to fit. You will see what I am talking about when you try and put them on.

that was what i was about to say. the other thing is use some heavy grease to stick your strut bearing to the strut plate so when you bring lower your car of the lift or jack you don't damage the strut bering.

Hmmm. OK thank very much for the advice. I will probably ask more about the strut bearing install when I get all the parts. Yes I want to do all this stuff my self. The reason I'm thinking I should replace all the part is my car is a 95 se with 150k.

Yes, I'm going to do this myself. Am I going overboard. My suspension has 80k on it!!! I figured I change everything.

What about bushings? I understand they are hard to get off, but are they difficult to put on?

I guess the question is what would you change on an 80k suspension? (on a 150k car - I'm probably riding on a 150k suspension)

What suspension do you have on there now? Aftermarket? When I took my Sprint/Koni combo off my 97 the strut bearings were SHOT! I had to get new ones to put on that car. When I install this same combo as you (GC & AGX) on my 99 I'm going to put new bearings on the front.

Nah - its just the stock suspension. I wonder what kind of condition the bearings will be in?

Well, you could just open them up and re-grease them. http://www.motorvate.ca/ has a good writeup in the suspension section.
