Fluids for a 95 Max

Just some quick question regarding fluids on a 95 Max GXE.
-Is the red **** dipstick (to the the right of the engine) for the tranny fluid? If so, where would I fill that if it was low?
-What fluid goes in the container just behind/above the coolant (all the way to the left under the hood)?
These might seem like dumb questions, but I'm a new driver who's barely had a chance to "learn" every thing bout the Max yet within the 3 wks I've had it and my owner's manual hasn't arrived yet.
Thx.

Correct on auto trans fluid...
I believe you fill it thru that dipstick tube... DON'T OVERFILL... wait for your manual or someone else here on the forum... I'm not much into slushboxes..hehe
The reservoir just rear of the coolant s/b for the power steering fluid.

proper
when checking any fluid there are ways to do it right. These procedures have a huge impact on the results. Go and get a SERVICE manual, the factory OWNERS manual is insufficient except for very general things. You could get the factory service manual for about a hunderd dollers or a haynes which i have for about 15. For checking power steering fluid you should turn steering wheel lock to lock then leave in center and check with engine off. For auto tranny fluid you should start engine, run gear shift through all gears, put in park and check with engine at idle. Reading will be wrong if you have been driving for a long time, in such case allow to cool some.
