Hi,

I have a 97 Infiniti i30 with the stock Bose/Clarion head unit but the tape player is stuck and the volume **** is on the fritz, so I bought a used head unit of the same part number off eBay from a 98 i30. Is it possible to just take my existing one out and swap in the used one I bought off of eBay ? And also are there any radio codes or engine immobilizers I should be aware of?

It is a straight swap, no other parts needed. The only hard part may be the screws that hold the radio into the frame, they sometimes can be very difficult to brake free. Just make sure that your screwdriver (phillips) fits in the screw head nice and snug without any play.
