I have a 96 that occasionally stalls. The intermittent nature makes troubleshooting tough. The codes relate to ECU and TCU communications. I've opened the center console and driven around. When she stalls I've wiggled the wire harness and connectors hoping to find some correlation to the stalling. Nothing yet.
The stalling seems to happen most often going up or downhill as the car shifts down or up, maybe into or out of second. I'm beginning to suspect transmission sensors, maybe gear position or load sensors.
What do you guys think?
