My car crapped out on me while driving. My mechanic put an alternator in and after about a week, the car crapped out again. If I get a boost, the car will last for about 30mins and then it will die. When ever I put the key in the ignition to turn on the car, the car gives off a rapid clicking sound.

other issues I found using the computer check thingy

-error code: cylinder 6 misfire

-error code: Exhaust gas recirculation control solenoid valve

-whenever I press the gas pedal all the way down, it sometimes get stuck and I have to unstick it, crazy stuff.

-the battery has some nasty looking stuff on it, based off my readings here that can also contribute to my car not being able to start.

I would like to buy as many of the parts I need as possible that way my mechanic can just worry about installation. How much am I looking to pay to have this stuff fixed. I have zero car knowledge.

 

Clean battery terminal check battery volts with car running if neg volts replace battery also since you replaced the alternator. Check injector on 6 and cylinder 6 coil. The egr needs to be cleaned and get a new egr Solenoid valve.

 

i also forgot to mention that when ever I come to a complete stop then attempt to go again- The car pauses for like 2 seconds then takes off like a rocket
