Budget Exhaust catback still happening?

I remeber a while back that the guys from Budget Exhaust were working on making a catback for the 4th gen. I looked on www.budgetexhaust.com but did not find anything. Does anyone know if this is still a possibility. I am curious because they were saying that it was going to be quiet still after install and things like that. Since Apexi is backed up some I figured this could be a nice alternative. I haevnt heard about it in a long time though. I also tried sending them an E-mail without a reply.

Any idea?

Hmm. that is a good question. what i always here from people is that you should call budget if you want to hear back from them in the next 20 years. They will tell you right then and there if you call, but they get a lot of email and dont check it much i guess.
Anyway i too wuld like to hear the progress on this.

Re: Budget Exhaust catback still happening?

I just emailed them yesterday about the same thing! In any case, their website does have a few pics of the muffler they will use. The page says "coming soon" but has said so for a while. Was planning to visit Toronto in April so would love to get it installed by them if at all possible. I hate to give an aftermarket exhaust to a muffler shop who start grumbling about how they hate to install other people's stuff and how they could have saved me $$$ by having them do the whole thing--and then wondering if they will do a crappy install job just to prove that their gripes about fitment are true. Plus, CAN$ conversion baby! Their muffler looks good but they need a better tip!

go to the Maxima section. A link is at the very top. I think the letters are in blue so it is easy to miss...

Do you know if the look of the mufflers edges are gonna be smoother than how it looked in the pictures? I figured that was just prototype and that was why it looked so rough.

Sudz! To be honest with you, I haven't seen what the pictures look like on their site, all I can go on is what I saw in his shop last Friday. He had a Catback near the jig, and it looked HOTTTTT, but I'm not sure if that was the catback for his maxima project?!

Thats cool. I think they may sell a good amount of them if they release them soon. Especially if they have a nice sound to them. Right now for maxima's it is kinda limited. Can't wait. Keep us updated if ya can.

Was looking at their muffler pictures today. Although no specifics/options are listed, noticed that the bend in the pipe was not mandrel bent. Dying to see how it turns out though. I'd prefer a better tip, but I guess you can have them install one of their tips they sell...
