Radiator Fan Assembly Recommendations?

I've developed some notable "roughness" related to the operation of my radiator fan(s) and I'm think I just might as well replace the fan assembly.

Although cost isn't a huge issue, the ~ $350.00 for an OEM unit seems a little steep.

Other than an OE unit, do any of you guys have a recommendation for a replacement assembly?

I've looked at the pricing for replacement of just the motors and honestly it seems that the cost to replace the two motors is only about $30 ... maybe $40 ... less than the cost to replace the whole unit.

Can anyone recommend a replacement assembly?

I forget the price (about $85 with tax), but I bought a complete radiator fan assembly from Autozone. PnP and works great.

This may work for you too

I was considering replacing the fan assy when I replaced my radiator, but decided not to....

I would have gotten this one:

I lilke rockauto because @ $80 this has a lifetime warranty, and you know that rockauto would replace it for you under the warranty. Amazon would give you a *** up your ****.

Just for the convenience factor, I would pick up a Dorman from Advance Auto for $108.49 using the TRT30 discount code. However, at RockAuto the price is $91.92 (shipped) for the same Dorman unit. I buy a lot of parts from Rock these days.

It will have a lifetime warranty and if anything goes wrong, I would just drop it off at my neighborhood store for an exchange.

I actually have one from a salvage car hanging on my garage wall that I keep as a spare.

Why I don't like Advance Auto is I had a battery with a 3 yr. free repl. and 84 mo. pro rata warranty. Got it in 2005, and it failed in 2009. The a**h**** told me my warranty was expired. I said you can't do math, he said why not? I said I got this in 2005, and it's 2009, does that sound like 7 yrs. went by to you?

Lo and behold, google reveals others having problems in getting them to honor the warranty, when the customer has the paperwork. Maybe it's by region, who knows, but I would never buy anything from them again.
