I just installed my fogs today.

If you have no power seats, and no fogs stock, then you definately have a GXE.

All GLE's come with power seats. Period.

And according to the fog instruction manual, if you don't have the Power Seats and/or ABS, you are NOT pre-wired for fogs.

Fortunately, I have power seats on my GXE, so this didn't affect me.

Good luck.

Have to agree with the majority above If it is not fully loaded, it must be a GXE. GLE has all the options - climate, power seats, ... VIN will tell all.

Raise your hood. Look for a shiny metal identification tag fastened to the passenger side of firewall. The top row is the Vehicle Identification Number, starting with J. The second row is model information. The first five characters are BLHUL. The sixth character is the trim level designator, defined as follows:

E = GXE
G = GLE
V = SE

Do you have a power driver's seat and/or ABS is the question.

You should have noticed a harness that was taped up with grey electrical tape near the turn signals on the inside when you were rewiring.

That is your fog connector.

Was the connector to the head light wiring disconnected and tied up with grey electrical tape?

If so, that was it.
