Caliper painting on White (post yer pics!)

Anyone have any pics of a White 4th Gen with Calipers painted?!?

I'm trying to decide whether to go with red or blue, and just can't seem to choose.

Blue is more subtle, but red is more snazzy.

Anyway, if anyone has pics, please post them.

Thanks!

Red will look nicer than blue. Trust us. You may want to go crazy and imitate the skyline GTR-34 with gold, but that may be tacky to some. I think it looks hot on darker cars.. even white would match gold okay

I'd have to say red....it would flow with your taillights. Red accents on a white car would look tight.

It would look like it belonged also if they had the gold trim package. Sorta.

Are red and blue the only options? Anyone ever try some other colors? I'm not feeling either on my "Pebble Beige" max.

The reason I want only red or blue is because Warpspeed Y-pipes only come in Red, Blue, or yellow. And I don't like yellow.

Thanks for the pics!
That's all I wanted!

There already is someone in the NW with the Blue/White motife (airmattdog), so I think I'm gonna do red. Besides, my needles are silver with red tips anyway, after I painted them, and so is my stereo power wire.

So red it is!

Thanks for the help, guys!

Go for Red. Please go for red.
I've got to keep my NW originality some how!

I'm going to look into the FoliaTec Caliper paint as well. I need to redo them anyways. Brake Cleaner will eat at the paint like there's no tomorrow!!!

Hmmm. . .you just brought up a good point. I was just getting ready to do my calipers, but haven't decided on paint yet.

Has anyone gone the econo-caliper paint (engine enamel from the local auto-parts place) route either by itself or with a high-temp clear coat & then later cleaned the calipers with brake cleaner?

-or is car-soap enough to clean the dust off?

Will brake cleaner strip off the engine enamel paint and/or high-heat clear coat? (I haven't seen any of the engine enamels/clear coats make similar claims [as the Foliatec] against chemical resistance) but you would think it would have to at least be resistent to oil, right? (I know - brake fluid is WAY more corrosive).

HEEEEEELP! Your experience counts most, but I'll settle for opinions!

when i used the brake caliper cleaner.. my calipers looked silver.. so why would i then go and paint them silver? i would have just used the caliper cleaner and a wire brush.. and just save myself the time and money to paint them

I knew I should've used a wire brush instead of sand paper. It took all the rust off but the calipers were still brown.

Heh....I just got fogs, too.

And I'm removing my pinstripe. Besides your rims and my chrome, we have the same car!

So where's you get those rims? Anyone know how to get rid of the chrome? <j/k>

And to everyone else, I meant CAI of course...was tired when I wrote that.
