Wheels!

Hello there everyone, good day!

I have a 1996 maxima and i love it; its my first car. I am currently in the need of new wheels since my old ones let out air; i have to be pumping them twice a month. The tire shop told me it was the rims. My question is What OEM rims can i put on my maxima? i have been doing lots of research, but still manage to get confused. I wanted to stick to nissan wheels but they are so expensive, i came across a 2007 eclipse gs set of wheels; the bolt pattern is 5 X 114.3 ; however the center bore is 67.1 and the nissan is 66.1. Would they still fit good, or not? im on a really tight budget and the 4 weels are 200$ which is perfect.

Since the wheel bore is larger than our hub bore, yes the wheels will work as long as the backspacing allows them to fit without rubbing. I am running mustang rims with larger bores. Just make sure you have the right lugnuts. Conical vs ball seat vs mag tube nut. With conical and ball seat you want to tighten slowly so as to center the wheel. BTW I am NOT using hub rings and no problems here.

If your rim is just bent you could probably get it straightened for about $50 or less (depending on severity).

use a tire calculator. It will tell you all the differences, like how your speedometer will be affected, sidewall height etc.

Wiz, your patience and willingness to spoon-feed otherwise common knowledge overwhelms me at times.

Rims=metal wheel

The TIRES are what measure 205/65Rxx

205/65R16 will be fine, but I recommend 225/55R16 when you go to eventually get new tires. Closer speedo reading and wider tire, that is if the wheel can hold it (and it should).

205/65/15=0.0% increase in dia.=20.00MPH
225/55/16=1.0% increase in dia.=20.20MPH
205/65/16=3.6% increase in dia.=20.78MPH

I just tried searching and cant find any. An SUV kicked up some semi tire tread and it knocked the **** out of my passenger side set at the beginning of this year. I knew I should have reordered a pair

There's a couple sets on eBay but I remember reading in a thread that eBay corners are a** so I'm iffy about buying them. Here's the set I've been eyeing http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chrome-Housi...FVuseP&vxp=mtr

They fit pretty well I had no issues. Also they seem more balanced than the 5th gen wheels.
