I love nissan a lot but i think the nismo line up on this new models is a joke except on the gtr my buddy have a nismo juke and my sl is much better, they look good but thats it , none come with nismo parts no wheels or performance parts just a look back in the days nismo line up came with all the good stuff not just a look i think my Sr will smoke that nismo any time just like my juke will do on my buddy rs juke lol

I'd trade-in my 7th gen in a heartbeat for it, provided there are actual performance gains as compared to the current 8th gen line-up, which I would expect there would be. That picture looks better than the stock 8th gens out there now; you can see the differences with the trim and wheels, but I'm not optimistic about Nissan coming out with a Nismo Maxima at all.

would it still be FWD though? And is it actually going to come out? I think the SR Midnight edition is Nissans current product idea for a real "Sports car" feel and appearance.

That picture is not a real nismo maxima first the caliper at front are in the front not in the back, on the rear it shows the same way and it has 4 piston caliper nissan only do 2 only on gtr they do 4 thas is just a fake pic look at both pictures the calipers are in different position lol . i know for sure in the big future they are making a rear wheel drive and. Awd model pretty much will be a Q60 frame.

Same here, but it better have a significant performance increase, nicer seats, and big brakes.

especially on the 'significant performance increase' part of it - - what's really out there performance-wise other than CBE, y-pipe, BBK, RSB, springs/bags/coils and maybe a drop-in filter. Other than that? Not much. It would be really nice to see a breakthrough on the CVT to open 'er up for some actual gains.

Again, I think the Nismo Max is a pipe dream and will never happen but hope I'm wrong. The only thing they offer is the midnight edition Maxima which, don't get me wrong, is cool and all but it's just looks & aesthetics.

nissan maxima nismo ?-photo712.jpgnissan maxima nismo ?-photo661.jpg there is many thing you can do on a max like i did i smoke my buddies new 370 and Q60 and am not tune waiting on uprev to come with a tune. The CVT is not a issue i have a 2012 juke sl pushing close to 350 hp at the wheels and 355 of torque makes my other boddie on his nismo rs juke look like a joke 😀

Out of curiosity, many things like what, exactly? Last I checked, Ghozt tried to turbo his car and dumped a lot of money into pioneering it and the car continually went into limp mode / protection mode due to CVT. So I'm curious as to what can be done to get "close to 350 HP / 355 torque" on the juke and what can be done on the Max to really open her up?
