changing corner bulbs

Aight i just bought xenon clear corner bulbs to match the headlights,a nd i went to go take off the corners to change the bulbs and for some reason it wouldn't come off, i took the screw out and tried to pry em out, but i didn't do it that hard b/c i don't want scratch anything or break the lenses, some tell me what i should do.

the clearance lights are held in by a ball-n-socket joint near the bottom of the lens, i haven't been able to get mine off yet either because i haven't really tried too hard, but i hear you have to pry really hard...you might wanna try stickin a screwdriver from the the top down between the joint, and trying to pry that way...someone correct me if anything is wrong

According to Haynes manual, you did the right way, and it's the only way. Just think of any thing that can reduce the chance of scratch, and get it out. Maybe dust and some grease accumulated in there...

its a biotch to do... there are two ways to do it neither are easy.. one is to reach in and unplug the harness and get the bulb out and replace it... hard as hell to do cuz its so cramped in there or you can unscrew it and pry the corner out... its hard as hell...

Try spraying some WD 40 or something into the ball and socket joint(with the little straw). It is still very hard to get out, I thought I was going to break something for sure when I took mine out. There is a diagram in the owners manual, under 'do it yourself' or something like that. Also check maximadriver.com, they have a write up in the how-tos under corner rewire. After you take it out once it is much easier the next time.

yeah i ended up breaking one of my corners. i spryed wd40 and started pulling on the corner light. the manual technique didn't work for me. i broke the driver side corner. and i ended up on my back with the passenger corner light.
