Black spots will not come off?

Hey everyone,

I have a 95 maxima that was sitting for a while, and when I washed it, it had black spots. The spots washed away a little, they went from dark to a light gray, but i cannot get them off. I'm not sure if it's just dirt that some how got embedded into the paint, job or is there something to use to really get them out. I have posted some pics of the issue. I tried soap, some degreaser, and bug/tar remover, but nothing seems to get rid of them. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Meguiars' Ultimate Compound is good too. Give it a try!

i am a detailer and i will tell you to use compound number 7. turtle wax bought out dupont so it might say turtle wax. it's a white and green can and it's a white liquid clear coat compound. get a small round polishing pad to apply, do a test spot first. spiral buffing lightly at first, than more elbow grease if that's not enough. take your time.

Yep ... that's my call as well.

It looks like you've got mold growth in your clear coat.

Get a Q-tip.

Make a small batch of a 50:50 mix of distilled or de-mineralized water and bleach.

With the Q-tip apply just a tiny bit of the bleach mix to one or two of the spots and see how that works.

Rinse it really well immediately.

If that does the trick you'll probably want to swab the areas with the bleach mix and rinse them thoroughly and immediately.

If you try this, make sure the car's surface is stone cold.

mold is into his clearcoat, you don't want to use some homemade remedy to clean it off. that's why i suggested clear coat compound, you slowly work it into the clear coat and it's safe on the paint.

With all due respect I have merely suggested what I have found to be effective.

If you're thinking that quadruple [+] diluted sodium hypochlorite is going to damage automotive clear coat and/or color finish, you should truly ponder what your vehicle is routinely exposed to on a day to day basis.
