Re: almost done
hey, I would be interested in getting my Altezzas painted my stock color, pebble beige, i've read posts and people have a lot of trouble doing this without breaking the glass, if you can make it work, how much would you charge me to paint it? I will provide all supplies and shipping.

I painted the outside...
and for you painting experts, some parts I didn't want paint on got painted...
can I use *nail polish remover* to move these marks?
will it damage the plastic cover?

I haven't really finshed the project yet but soon it will after I clear some stuff off.
Yes, I used the paint from Paintscratch.com
Precedures I will post later on when I am completely done with the project so I can tell you guys the things I did wrong.
one question. Why wouldn't it pass inspection?

Looks good so far. I still think they would look better with the insides painted cuz you'd have some 3D to it. What exactly did you paint that you didn't want painted? If it's the chrome plastic parts then I would suggest painting over it with chrome paint versus trying to remove the overspray. The reason being the chrome parts are actually just plastic with chrome paint to begin with and any attempt to remove it with acetone, alcohol, etc... may end up removing it as well. I was able to remove the chrome paint with just alcohol. Just a tip.

Looks very good. Is your car Pearl White or the plain white? If it's Pearl, how does it match?
I agree with ravq in that it would have looked better with the insides painted, but judging by his experience that seems to be impossible since these things are too cheaply made.

I just cleared coated the altezzas after removing the parts I don't need
you can see lil scratch marks but i hope the clear coat will make it shiny enough for it to be not seen.
installation?
I have no idea right now but I hope I can get it in by tommorow

Lookin' Good Sexima!...
Can't wait to see the final pics. You should paint the rubber bidding of the tails too or it will look weird having a white car with white tails but black rubber seperating the too... maybe paint them after you install the lights much like the window trim method. Anyways looks good man, you make me want to get Altezzas!
