Keyfob Issues

Hello all,

1999 Maxima SE here. For years, the keyfob has given me a ton of trouble opening the doors. For some reason, the trunk will open every single time I press the button without fail, but the doors never want to unlock.

I walk all over looking like I'm crazy as I press or hold down the button trying to lock or unlock my car.

I've tried replacing the keyfob, reprogramming, etc. Nothing helps.

Has anyone experienced this and can help me figure out the issue here?

Thanks!
