Hi guys,

I currently have an 04 Maxima SE that I bought used several years ago. Recently, I've been having issues opening my car door. Keyless entry was not installed when I bought the car so I have been manually opening the car door with the key ever since. Up until a week ago, I was able to manually unlock and open the door every once in a while but now when I turn the key right, I don't hear all the doors unlock at all presumably due to wear and tear. The driver side door is the only one that unlocks but if I were to open the door, the alarm would go off as I'm assuming since all the other doors are technically locked, it would be as if I'm breaking into the car. The dealership did give me the remote in case I wanted it installed in the future when I bought the car so I was thinking of somehow finding a way to legit unlock my car so I could take it to a Nissan dealership to have keyless entry installed. Any thoughts/advice on how I should go about this matter? Thanks guys.
