Not sure where to get them, but it has more details than you would ever want to know. You'd be amazed at the level of detail in it.

You know ... I could have swore that our friendly moderator Bill posted something about getting a FSM in the "Max FAQs" thread up top... well ... will you look at that... he did!

The thread even has the word "Important" in front of it! How odd... it also has the words "Read before posting" in bold ... well ... color me embarrassed.

You could also try http://www.alldata.com/vehicle_owner/index.html for less money (initially). Spotty in sections, but a lot of it is scanned from the factory service manuals.

thanks!!

thanks for all your help guys/girls! sorry Mr. Moderator, I hope i didn't **** you off TOO much. I'm new to this site and got mixed up with all the info in the beginning of the posts. I just recently stumbled across this site and got really motivated to maintain and get to know my own car. (1998 Maxima SE) As a starving UCLA student, I can't afford to hand over hundreds of dollars to a mechanic every time i think there's something wrong w/ my car. Just recently i found an error code for my knock sensors (0304). My local mechanic gave me an estimate of $400+. (does this sound right?) This is what got me to browse the internet so i can find some real and practical solutions. thanks again for all your help!! i appreciate it.
