Check engine trouble code links no longer work

I tried using the links to see what my blinks meant, but a Chinese web site is what shows up when the links are clicked.

When all else fails, you can always look in the service manual.

Service manual list - http://boredmder.com/FSMs/Nissan/Maxima/

Click on the year of your car
Click on the file EC.PDF
Scan down the list of codes on the first 2 or 3 pages
Click on the code for more info.

Option 2:

Drive to an auto parts store.
Go inside and ask them to read the codes on your car.

This is a free service in 48 of the 50 United States. It is illegal in the states of California and Maine.

Option 3:

Buy a code reader. Prices start at aroung $15 and go up based on features/functions.

Buy a code reader. I've seen them on amazon for 15 bucks. They tell you which codes are present.

A scanner costs more but has more features.

Thanks for the link to the manual. I didn't have that.
