really, this wasnt what i expected to come back to, anyway we are installing mine pretty soon as well, xtreme what do you think we should do about the hole, i figure we can get the sensor in there

It took a little pushing, but I got mine in there ok.

are u guys talkin about the place for the air temp sensor on the place racing cold air intake? becuzzzzz... all i did was take the rubber gasket off and re use, it mine fit in perfectly fine, i could be talkin about sompin different cuz i didnt reda the first two pages of this post, but all i know is my air temp sensor fit right into the place racing pipe,.

i had the same problem, that hole stumped me and my buddy for a couple hrs. It only applies to certain maxima's though so check the instructions to see if it applies to yours. If it does, then maximadriver.com can guide you through the process of taking it out. There's a rubber stopper, a pita to finally get out, but pry it with a flathead and you'll eventually get it. I put my pr cai on two weeks ago and it's been worth every penny. good luck.

Last night we put Redmax's CAI on and Xtreme showed me where the sensor was. It was located in the lower portion of the plastic scoop that connects to the stock airbox. The sensor is pretty easy to pull out and so is the rubber grommet. Then you just insert it in the pipe

Is there something wrong with your temp sensor? If you can find that, I'd use that to plug up the hole. It's a lot easier than patching it up.
