spring install question

spring install question

might be a stupis question but....
when i install my drop springs, the part that is coiled closer together, does that go on the top or the bottom, sorry for the stupidity. and where can i find instructions on how to install them?

For insturctions it depends. For starters what kind of springs are they? Have you checked the manufacturers website?

Tighter coils go at the top - I've never heard of anything different on our cars.

I once called a shop about the dropzone springs guy said it didnt matter which side the tighter coils were on. My coils are tighter on the bottom vice the top. I dont think it makes a difference, Maybe I need to switch to see if it does matter but I doubt it.

i have the maxspeed springs. and i know it does make a differece. when the most absorption takes place.
