where do I get the best price? Courtesy currently lists the FSTB's for $80 + shipping. But I see them mentioned here as $50 items.
Also, if I recall struts are under pressure, if you just remove the bolts the thing will pop out like a missile? no? and if yes, then am i ok in assuming that it's save to have 3 of the 4 bolts out at a time?

Try http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com or http://www.procarparts.com for the FSTB. Both will come in under $50 shipped, but call first to see if they have them in stock.
On the strut question, when I did mine I had a spring compressor on fairly tight when I took the nut off of the first one, and it still shot about 4 feet. Use a compressor, and be careful.

When I did mine I didn't touch the springs and nothing moved....I would think the weight of the car would keep the spring compressed.
Just leave your car on level ground and you should be fine. I did both the front and rear STB's this way without a problem.
I wasn't talking about when I did the FSTB, but when I replaced the springs/struts. With the FSTB, as long as the car is on the ground and you don't touch the nut in the middle there is no need for a compressor. I think I misunderstood the question. Sorry about that.

I got my Courtesy FSTB for $35 off of someone on this forum. It was brand new in the original box. Lucky me.
Now, I'm getting the Stillen FSTB used off of someone else on this forum for $75. Wow I keep getting great deals.
Keep your eyes open on the parts for sale section and you can get great deals.
