Weird Key Problem: 1 key starts but car stops immediately
Hi:
I am having the weirdest of the problems with my car keys. One of my key works fine. The other starts the car fine but then immediately the engine shuts down! The starter assembly was replaced 1 week back. At that time I had taken only the key that works fine to the dealer.
Incidentally, the key that works fine has a small cut on the plastic piece => key can come off the keyring and get lost easily. What are my options (e.g., superglue, electric tape, pay the dealer 100 bucks, ...)?
1999 1/2 GLE: The key apparently has a chip inside.
