Problems with 1996 Nissan Maxima

Hey, my car will not move in drive or reverse. And when i try to put in park, it makes a loud clicking noise. Also when it’s in park, you can push the car and it’ll move. We haven’t changed the transmission oil since i got the car two years ago and it has 185,000 miles. We changed some other oil but not the transmissions so idk if that’s making it NOT move , lol i really don’t know. Please help me guys

What color is your fluid? Is the fluid level where it should be? Measure when the engine is on.

Sounds like you need another transmission

Wow another tranny bites the dust. I am gonna tell you finding a new tranny from nissan will be finding a needle in a hay stack. Junk yard trannies your options or ammaco.

Your transmission is gone, there is no going back unless you replace it or repair it..

Good for you!

You do realize that we are offering advise regarding what generally happens to our cars, most of the time, based on your description, regarding a car which we do not see and listen to, from hundreds or thousands of miles away, right? Lol.

it's amazing how well this forum works, considering all that.

Ok, good if the tranny didn't float to heaven. The tranny still works maybe be more descriptioned of the problem so the answers would be more in your favor.
