8000K HID conversion 9004 kit on e-Bay
saw an auction for an 8000k HID conversion kit on e-Bay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...727138&r=0&t=0
I know that 8000K is the color temperature rating and
not necessarily related the amount of lumens generated...
BUT I would think that with a 8000K color temperature rating
the blue would be too deep of a blue and the police would stop
you and give you a ticket...
what do you guys think?
I have seen the Hanabi kit and its awesome!! the blue that it gives off will not get you a ticket but I think at 8000K....you're asking for trouble...
for now, I think Hanabi is the way to go until they make affordable kits WITH high beams.

Seems like they'd be very blue in color, but I doubt any cop would give you a hard time about them. BMWs and Audis are QUITE blue in color, and they don't get bothered. With headlights you're pretty much free of harrassment from cops, its the clearance and side marker bulbs they get you for.
I got pulled over and issued 4 tickets the other day by a cop that was extremely laid back and nice. He basically said that the car looks great, but the law prohibits hyperwhite/blue lights facing backwards or sideways. I got tickets for 1)Tints, 2)Hyperwhite rear side markers in my red/clear tails, 3)License plate covers, 4)Hyperwhite front and rear turn signals.
The next day I went to the police station and got 3 of the 4 squashed because I removed all the hyperwhites and license plate covers. The ticket for the tints I paid $50 cuz theres no way in hell Im revoming them.
If you get the 8000k kit, let me know how it looks and your overall satisfaction with them.

In CA, if you're cited for tint, you have to demonstrate to a cop that it has been removed, in addition to paying a small fine. . .
(sorry, this is O/T - I was just curious)
