Climate Control Mystery
99 maxima SE, manual climate control
SO....my AC works and blows pretty good, but if I drive somewhere and turn off my car the blower wont come back on. If i wait about 10 minutes before i turn the car back on it works just fine.
I dont have a ton of money to throw at the problem right now, but the TX summers are murder without AC so I figured I'd pick y'alls brains and see what you might can come up with.
Also fab works on all speeds when its not acting up, tapping blower motor makes no difference, and I've replaced the fuse already JUST IN CASE.
BTW this is my fist post but I've been referencing this site since I bought her a few months ago so thanks for being awesome already 😋

It is rather rare for an electrical circuit to be intermittent. What is much more likely to happen is that the brushes inside a 20 year old motor are worn out and no longer making contact.
Remove the glove box and look above it. You will see the blower motor. Get a volt meter and set it to measure volts and put the probes in the connector to measure the voltage. Turn on the fan. On high speed setting, you will see almost 12 volts. on other speed settings the voltage will be less. If you have voltage and the motor is not running, you need a new fan motor.
If you don't have voltage, then we'll have to do some additional troubleshooting.

I think I fixed it today: pulled the knee panel from under the steering wheel and swapped the Blower Motor Relay with one of my Horn Relays and no more issues so far (had to pour through a Chilton manual to find the relay tho lol)
