I use to buy straight from the Nissan dealer, but we all know they overprice the parts. And I sometimes buy from franchises like AutoZone and O'Reily, but those cheap parts tend to fail and be defective a lot of times. I was wondering where you buy your replacement parts?

RockAuto can be a nice source but many times offers the same unpredictable aftermarket parts your local store will carry. They will offer the "actual OE part" from time to time and depending on the part.

I've found that www.nissanpartsdeal.com is fairly reasonably priced for OE parts.

Also, determining the OE P/N and then simply googling that P/N can result in some good and less expensive original parts ... for example I recently found and genuine Nissan camshaft position sensor on Amazon.com for $30 ... this is a $102+ part from most Nissan parts marketers.

For OEM parts that are a MUST, I get the Nissan part number and put it in google and check it two ways, one with a dash in the middle and one way with the 10 numbers/letters straight. Each brings back different ordered results. Then I drill down on which offers the best DELIVERED price.

I do the same with Aftermarket part numbers of those parts that have a very high rating by real 4th Gen owners. I usually find RockAuto is where I spend my money, but sometimes eBay and Amazon as well.

But since the part is the part, I go with lowest price delivered if there is no reason to NOT do business with the retailer. So far, I have found NO reason to change this method.
