FCS or Monroe struts

Okay here it goes. I have not changed shocks or struts in my Maxima since about 2004. I went to go get some KYB gr2 from my local spot, and they told me that they no longer carry them. Now he says they have FCS or Monroe shocks complete with Springs seats, Boots, and bump stops for under $300. Have I been out of the loop this long that this is the new trend? Are these any good?

Only get Tokico HP Blue. Our 4th gen maxima's came with Tokico struts from the factory. Plus the monroe struts are not that good and wont last long as there springs arent that great as the oem nissan springs. Heres the part number Tokico HB3102 Front Right, HB3103 Front Left, Both Rear HU2905.

The Monroe quick struts are just fine

I would avoid the FCS struts because they are cheap garbage that won't make it to 10k. Same for all the other Chinese cheap struts out there. Quick struts are awesome, but only the premium name-brand ones like Monroe, KYB, and Gabriel.

I've always found Tokico blues as being too stiff. If you could find their Illuminas that would be great.

I’ve got a full set of BNIB Illuminas for sale in the classifieds, if interested.

Get KYBs - both great ride quality and durability.
You can get them here https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...ion,strut,7584 for a very reasonable price ($50 - $56).
