Ah you need to calm you turbo butt down man. Sprint, you need to stop posting that crap too.

mtcookson. dude, we can say the same to you man. You say shut up until you see me fail. But we can say, "shut up until you actually do it.". Get it?

There has already been 2-3 turbo 4-gens, so it's been done as you can see. But 600hp? Come on man. Who do you think we are? Some honda board where we believe everthing people say?? Here we post proof, then maybe we will take you serious. Until then, know this... unless you come up w/ some proof, prepare to get flamed. Period.

I just don't understand why 600hp is so crazy. I've heard of those crappy hondas getting 800 horse and it's out of a friggin 1.8 liter 4 cylinder!!! I don't understand why it's so hard for people to think 600 horse is hard to get out of a V6 that's been rated one of the best V6's ever... oh well...

alright ill be honest, the list is a bit out there, but the will to want to create all this stuff from scratch sort of gets my respect, i myself am always trying to make stuff becuz im going into mechanical engineering(auto performance), and am trying to start a performance company with some mechanics and bizness partners of mine. and i get shut down frequently on my ideas, but like you that doesnt hold me back, im in the process of making an intake for the max to compensate for the variable intake that we lack. the main thing is ur comin off as a "newbie" so bsaically ur the little kid that adults dont want to listen to becuz they are used to their ways, basically, do ur thing, just dont keep saying were innovative, cuz then we are generalizing you and your generalizing us right back, flame me if u will, i say good luck, we need to not get our emotions involved and all make the maxima mod world much more broad, cuz im only 17 and its hard as hell $ wise to work this car. i know i wsa flaming you before, but i think its gettin outta hand now, so go for it.

Dude that's awesome that you are going to do that. I'm 17 also and the money thing sucks. I understand about this thing getting out of hand but it's just people cutting me down for my ideas. I understand the newbie thing too. But on this, newbie only mean that's you are new to the forum. I could be a newbie on the forum and be one a world known Maxima mechanic. So.. what i am basically saying EVERYONE LISTING!! Do not judge someone just because they are a newbie in the forum, it's dumb!!

Everyone out here is trying to tell you the truth.. if you wanna find the hard way.. go for it.. sometimes wat is on paper is not TRUE in reality.. just like you plan a business that will give you x amount of profit.. its NOT ALWAYS SO.. so watch out bro

yea i know, but i hope u realize that a lot of chemistry, physics, mechanics comes into play, the reason everyone does that is, some people come to a lot of dead ends when doing these projects, and its the same as ur grandparents, they are wise becuz they have experience and when u run into a room and tell them to watch mtv or something, they dont wanna hear it, just do it, but dont tell everyone that its easy and its simple, thats why im not talking about my intake, america is about see it to belive it, so until my thing works i got nothing to say about, now take a deep breathe everyone relax, and dig what im saying?

On those hondas it was in a "Spoon" engine. The spoon engine is nothing more than a rebuilt honda engine. it's pathetic.

Yup. And those old F1 engines are just 1500hp turbo'd 1500cc 4 cylinder engines. No problem at all.

If you think Spoon is just a bunch of knuckleheads bolting stuff to engines, you have alot to learn.

so a spoon engine is just a rebuilt engine?

never heard of that. how often do you have to rebuild these engines. i ask this because i know that super whatever cars are rebuilt like after 2 1/4 mile runs and some other cars are torn down and completely redone after races.

Yeah, if you had options like that for your max you could definantly get over that mark your looking for. At a very high price though.

Ok, a spoon engine is a honda engine. It has pistons, rings, etc... I am going to do the same thing to my engine so i see no reason why i can't get 600 hp out of it.

Ha ha....., I like this one, 1500hp turbo 4 cylinder F1. too bad they are not allowed to turbo the F1 these days.

For the one who is building the maxima, I don't believe until I see something. How are you going to get those money and time? is it worth it for a maxima? I'm talking about 600hp.

You must travel back in time. But with a 600HP Maxima I'm sure you can pull some "Back To The Future" $hit. Good luck with that!

YES!! I've thought of it. Have you guys ever seen those 1200-1500 hp skylines???? Well i have. Those things have 2.6 inline 6's. You can't tell me their best V6 can't handle 600 if their inline 6 2.6 liter can handle 1200-1500 horse.

I've heard of Skylines you numbnutz. I probably know more about them than you. If you are trying to equate the hp of a RB26DETT to what you "THINK" you can get from the VQ30, you are dumber than you post.

The RB26DETT is a fully girdled, cast iron block, I6 that is engineered to withstand the punishment it takes in a top-drawer sports car like a Skyline. The VQ30DE is a partially girdled, aluminum block V6 sedan engine, it's a damn good one, but it's still a sedan engine.

There is no way in hell you're going to get any VQ pushing those kinds of numbers, even with forged, shot-peened, cryo-treated everything. You're going to cook a valve, burn a hole through a piston, blow your intake manifold clean off, melt your rings, etc, etc, and you'll be pushing your car home.

Ok now. On the 300zx TT now. In the turbonetics magazine they haev a stage 2 turbo upgrade that will give the 300zx 650 hp. Now, the engine in there is the VG30DETT, an iron block with aluminum heads. The only difference on the VQ30DE is it's all aluminum. I am sure the thing will handle 600 horse WITH the engine internals upgrade.
