Has anyone here had the back tires on their max wear diagonally across the back tires? If so what can be done to fix this?

 

Before I found out that my rear axle was bent, I tried re-balancing the tires, checking the ball bearing, everything. I'd recommend you do the same and if things still arent working out, then check the axle. cost me 2k to replace. PITFA. Good luck.

How many miles do you have on your car and what are the roads like in your area? Mine were doing the same thing and was told by a very reputable alignment shop that usually worn stuts/shocks can cause this weird wear. Mine were making quite a bit of noise too. Might be time to install some AGX's. I noticed in your profile that you lowered your car but didn't mention new struts. The originals on the SE were made by Tokico and they are notorious for not lasting very long after lowering. Best of luck...

 

Yes it is lowered and I noticed this at about 70,000 when I bought some new tires and now I have 138,000 the car runs like it's new but I would say I need some new shock/struts badly then. Any suggestions for eibach lowered car and maybe some prices, you said AGX's are good.

And yes I had to rotate my tires the other day and now it sounds like a 4 wheel drive truck with big tires time to do some serious work to get my ride back, as far as roads go they are not to bad.

The AGX's are $380.00 at custommaxima.com. I got mine from Tire Rack for about $420.00(had them in stock) along with the KYB strut mounts and bump stops for the rear. It may also be a good idea to get all the boots and other rubber stuff from Nissan with that many miles on your car. It will make it ride better than new...
