I replaced mine and didnt have to reprogram anything. I just unplugged the battery and took it out and plugged the new one in and plugged it back up and its been fine.
I have a spare that works if you need it. Just have to make sure the numbers on yours match and all. What year is your car?

My 99 maxima 3.0 auto
Bcm Part # 2ht
28491 4l 700
8z18
I found a lot of used bcm on ebay but couldnt find one that all 3 sets of numbers matched up. Closest 1 i found was from a 99 maxima with manual trans the bcm # 2ht 28491 41700.i thaught manual trans would be different than auto. I have no idea what trim level my maxima has

Does mine have to come from an auto. Or will it work as long as it has the numbers are 2ht 28491.4l 700. Can a bcm also cause a random misfire

Yes it has to come from a Auto im pretty sure. And the numbers need to match as the bcm controls your Body Controls like locks and keyless entry if you have that etc... i doubt that will cause a miss fire. Faulty Coil packs are the main things that cause a missfire on the 99's.

It has a 0300 engine code. I put new spark plugs in it and new coils. Sometimes it has a 1105 code. I cleaned map senspr and i can feel the map switch sylonoid clicking when key switch is turned on

Those are intake manifold codes. Check for manifold leaks. Only use NGK spark plugs.

Thanks for the info. Ngk is the plugs i used. Tomarrow i will check for manifold leaks. When warm idling in gear sometimes it will idle rough while driving it runs smooth. I even changed fuel filter thinking that would help. I ordered a bcm off ebay hoping it will fix my windows locks cruise control and rear defogger

if you have removed the rear door panels for some reason make sure the driver and passenger rear window switches arent swapped. I had a issue where my locks and windows werent working and i had swapped the rears without realizing it. It Took a trip to nissan to figure that out after i swapped my bmc with no success.

I found a small vacum line unplugged from the manifold runs and idles good now. Next is to fix the windows. I love this forum lots of smart people with good info.

When you need parts like switches and handles and that crap, go to a junkyard where the parts are cheap. Also, If you need to see how something is hooked up, sometimes you can see how it is done looking at a junkyard car. Usually things are in normal shape after a wreck except for the smashed parts. A junkyard is a good go to place.

Maybe you have a faulty window switch? Snag one from a junk yard and test. Only time it would unlock soon as you lock it was if the key was in the ignition typically. This is interesting. I wish i could be of more help.

Solved. It was a bad switch wire to rhe power window relay. The red wire with grey stripe for switched hot into the power window relay wasnt getting juice. I hooked that wire to a fise link and to battery and windows cruise control and rear defogger is working good. I need to find a better place to hook the wire but everything works now. The relay is behind driverside kick panel. It has white/red wire yellow/red wire black wire red/ gray wire. Thanks for all the help
