RSTB vs Trunk Liner
A couple/few of you may have gleaned over the 2 decades of my participation here that I’m a little persnickety when it comes to my car(s).
Although I do enjoy, and have installed a few, upgrades/enhancements, I’m not especially one for showy, flashy, blingy things ... I really try to maybe make any modifications (to the extent possible) look like their “supposed” to be there.
So I’ve got this RSTB that I’d like to install to accompany my presently installed FSTB. But ... there is no way I want to eliminate my original trunk wall liners and the only way to accomplish both of these is to modify the liners.
Can any of you guys share a technique for cutting the trunk wall liners to allow for the RSTB install while keeping a nice, neat, tasteful modification to the liner pieces?
I’d like to keep the cutting to a minimum as I don’t want to wreck my original and pristine trunk liner pieces ... that being the case, maybe I just answered my own question.

cut it to a minimum and be done. not much to it. you may have to re attach the padding behind the liner if it detaches during the cutting. and i agree with you on keeping it clean and original looking =)

No. It's probably just a waste of time. This particular one is from parts laying around. I think it's a generic A32 gen bar with B14 brackets. More of a whatever, toss it on because I can. I've build a few others.
I had a Stillen bar, while bragging rights are high, the cost is not worth it. Not to mention it was pretty to look at.
A rear anti sway bar, anti roll, RSB (whatever you consider it) is far more effective.

Silly thought, a whisker biscuit could cover the cut. Or maybe someone is smarter who knows of something like it but an actual grommet.

I was was actually thinking of one of these. Properly sized of course.
Or would you slip the biscuit over the Bar first, then assemble the bar to strut towers and...what, then back the biscuit into the hole you made?
