Difference between the 95-96 and 97-99 maxs?
I have a 3d gen max and i'm selling it to get a 4th gen....could anyone tell me the difference between the 95-96/97-99 maxs? CUz i'm lookin at just some exterior mods and some are made for those first two years only, and then different ones for the last 3 years..

95 Maxima's would be the fastest because that was the last year of OBD-I diagnostics/ECU's. All 96+ cars in the US have OBD-II ECU's which are much more strict on engine/emission controls and as a result are much less responsive to engine modifications.
That would explain any reasoning that says that 95 Max's are the fastest and 96-99 seem a bit slower, if that reasoning exists...

95 has no MAP sensor and 96+ has MAP sensors.

At least on Honduh's they all switched over in MY96. I guess Nissan did it a bit early ??

i think 95 was the first year OBDII started on most models.
sorta like most 94+ cars switched to R134a
