I thought the maxima was a relatively trouble free car....especially in comparison with my 97 Intrepid.

I definitely agree - the Maxima is one of the most trouble-free cars on the road. I can attest to this as I've had 3 (all trouble free) and anywhere you look - Consumer Reports, Intellichoice, the car mags - will all agree. We've also had a couple of Altimas and my wife drives a Quest. Nissan just kicks butt

Nissans do RULE!...we have 4 cars, all nissan-made, and pretty much trouble-free; a 96 I30, 97 Max GLE, and 2 Pathfinder LEs (2k1 and 2k2)...very little trouble with any of them, if any trouble at all

Trust me it is better than the Intrepid. I had my Intrepid which was a 1994 just fall apart on me. I was so glad to be getting rid of it and love my Maxima. There is no comparison between the two.

Today wasnt any better either, I got realy early to change the hose, then I got ready for work. When I turn on my car around 8:40 to go to work, I sad that the hose was leaking oil again and this time it was all over the damn driveway of my house. I lost almost all the fluid out the trany and so I had to clean the driveway, plus I had to get to work ASAP!! cause some idiot for to tell me in advance that some was going to be there doing work on one of the server that has Mapguide. 30 min later I got all the oil clean and add it more oil this time I make you sure it did leak . What a day!!!!!
