As i just said...i know it does...but for the record...the 15.5 time that i got was also from NISSAN....and i think that 60 years of experience still knows a little better than us.....OH..AND BY THE WAY...U THINK THEY GET THE QUARTER MILE TIME FROM ONLY RUNS??? HAHA...THEY CALCULATE IT..SOME FREAKIN EQUATION WITH WEIGHT AND HORSEPOWER....SO WHAT DOES THAT TELL YOU?

Nissan doesn't use weight and horsepower to calculate 1/4 mile times. They have a test driver run the car. And that test driver doesn't have 60 years of experience, he's still only human. You can use weight and horsepower to calculate what a car "SHOULD" run, not what it actually may run.

Example, a few years back, Cadillac was claiming their STS Eldorado did 0-60 in like 7.5 seconds, yet car and driver tested it at 6.5 seconds or something. So who was right? Answer, both of them. They had different cars, different test areas, and different drivers.

No matter what.....whe cant defy math guys.....the numbers add up only one way....and well..in order to get a better track time than what is the best possible time with math which does not take any considerations into ANY driving conditions( driver, track, weather, all that good stuff) well, i suggest u patent something cause you will know something that freakin einstein did'nt!

It's not about the math. I promise you that 15.5 was not calculated. NO car company is stupid enough to use calculations to list their 1/4 mile times. They drive the car. Some cars are faster than others, some drivers are better than others. Simple as that. Just because you can't break 16.4 with your car doesn't mean that someone else isn't running 14.3 with a similar car. What if someone took your car and ran a 14.5 all of a sudden? Would you believe it? Or would you still go off on how he's BS'ing you. I bet you'd believe it and proudly proclaim that you drive a 14 second car. So did those guys running 14's fake it or something? The video is staged, timeslip fake? 20 witnesses are lying?

Of coarse they do.....they use both....math and track...and the math is not what the car should run...BUT WHAT IT CAN DO AT ITS PHYSICALLY BEST! and i didnt say it was the same freakin guy who did the track...but all i said what they have to do this ALOT..not one..not twicw...but probably AT LEAT 100 TIMES to get an accurate average of the runs AND THEY HAVE TO DO THIS FOR EVERY FREAKIN CAR THEY COME OUT WITH....so all im saying is that they have a little more KNOWLEDGE of how this shi@ works...not to say they are THE BEST..BUT SHURLY THEY AINT DUMB.

You're kidding me right?

Let's say my friend has a 5 speed. He's been driving the 5 speed since he bought it 5 years ago. And I started learning how to drive the 5 speed yesterday. We would run the exact same times?

Unfortunately, lately, this board has been plagued with 18-20 year olds that think they know everything. That's not to say all 18-20 year olds are like this, but all of the arrogance I've seen in the past week has been from young kids.

Here's my $.02... if you think Road and Track or Car and Driver are the bible then you are terribly mistaken. C&D recently clocked a Porsche GT2 at ~12.5 seconds in the 1/4 mi. (I can't remember exactly but it was in the mid-high 12's) You mean to tell me a Porsche tuner can't take that beast to 1/4 mi in less than 12s? I'd bet money he could. Car mags are good for a lot of things, but don't forget - they don't have Mario Andretti, Jeff Gordon and the like test driving the cars ... they have Patrick Bedard (stuffy, white collar *****) and the like test driving these cars. Sure they know how to drive in general, but someone who OWNS the car can drive it better, hands down.

oh...and SHADOW....as far as that guy u said who ran 14.7 stock...ill believe that when i see it....stock is 15.5 and it is measured BY PROFESSIONALS!!!!! WE ARE NOT PROFESSIONALS!!! SO HOW THE HELL CAN U GET AN EXTRA .8 SECONDS ON NOTHING!!!!!!! WHAT DID THEY ACCIDENTALLY MAKE AN 8 CYLINDER VERSION AND PUT IT INTO HIS CAR?????? heh..i wish...But lemme say something....if a car's listed quarter mile time is X, at the track...STOCK...u will not get that number no matter what! That time is a PERFECT START, PERFECT SHIFTING, AND ABSOLUTLY NO FLAWS!!!!! so for someone to ACTUALLY RUN A STOCK CAR AS FAST AS THE X TIME IS ALMOST...IF NOT IMPOSSIBLE . BUT TO RUN EVEN FASTER...NO WAY...no matter what u say...PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!! I think..well actually i know is that there are SOME people here that do give actual correct times...but those people are the people who did do all the mods...and spent all the money....as for the people that didnt..well they dont want to be embarrased so they simply BULLSHI# Thats what i hate.....liars...well...for the people here that actually do run the times they say...THIS IS NOT INTENDED FOR YOU. I APOLOGISE FOR THE HONEST GUYS WHO HAVE TO READ THIS. AS FOR THE REST OF THE PU$$IES who are to stupid enough to think u can BS the people that know a little about cars..well...sorry u CANT BS US.

Your basing your $hitty driving on what others should be doing? You really are a Moron!

Lets not forget the fact that the cars road and track and those types of magazines get are test cars, they have usually already been used and abused by the press and testing, not broken in correctly... my AUTO ran a 15.4 with only an intake and Y-pipe, maybe you need to trade your 5 spd for an auto...

He's just sayin' that because I ripped him a new one earlier in this thread where he was being a jerk to someone who apparently had a lesser car than him ... I'm not the A**hole, go back a few pages in this thread and read your posts all over again, you may see some kind of similarity to an a**hole

And I'm still wondering if SUPERMAX1981 would like to see my 16.1 run?
