Rust Repair on my 95'

What would be the best way to go about preparing these rust spots. They are really bad.

Front fenders should be replaced.

Rear quarters and rockers will need extensive cutting and welding. What you see is only part of the story. The inside structure will likely be nonexistant. Not to mention all the other typical spots these cars rust.

Cars from the southern and some western States do not have rust issues.

They are still common. Cost 1500 or so.

Buy one of them.

Drive it back.

Sell yours afterwards.

I'm serious.

Probably the best option unfortunately unless you want to put more money into it than it is worth. You could also use your car as parts to fix one that is in better shape.

Yah it's got wayy too much rust...I'd find a clean condition one and swap any good parts you have left.

I would say a pick and pull / junk yard is going to be your friend on this one. Around here there are almost always 2 white 4th gens at the bigger yards. I'd look online first as they usually put a picture of the cars currently on the lot and just go grab the parts there and swap them out.

I don't think it's worth fixing those rust spots. I think they are too much work even though you can do them if you know how to weld.
I would just get another one from the Southern states like others said and sell that car or move the good parts from it to the said car from the south if you still want the Maxima.

You could possibly get away with fiberglass for the quarter panels since you won't be jacking the car up there, but the rockers are a different story. Back when I was a teenager I fixed some rocker panels with fiberglass and it looked awesome afterwards until the first time the car went up on a lift and CRRRUNNNCCH. To me the rockers are the one area where you really need new metal welded in.

Imagine a rust free Maxima. They are available on the west coast's of the USA and Canada.
Also in the southern states of the USA.

Seems that concept does not compute with members in the Rust Belt.

You could replace that hose with the newer version that is one piece.

Here's your car and all the associated parts: You'll have to replace the **** in the link with the word c o c k.

https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/part...67293&Filter=()

The part that broke on you car is not on newer 4th gens. I really don't think it does anything on a 4th gen. It's just a coupler with no valve inside, yes? If so you can get 3/4" barb from the hardware store and use that instead. Just don't use the grey plastic fittings from the hardware store, they melt.

Or you can get the newer, longer hose. You can cross reference part number and find a cheaper alternative. (The diagram is wrong and still shows the water c o c k).

https://www.nissanpartsdeal.com/part...=MT)&PNC=92400

Or go to a local junk yard and grab whatever you need.
