I asked about the intake and exhaust with no cai and someone said they had a 2k muffler on a 95or 96 how much would it cost and would it look right

oh yea and will it give a hp increase

I have a 98 SE and interested in putting 2k exhaust but my concern is: will it still be considered restrictive?

Someone explain to me the point of putting a newer exhaust on? to me it sounds stupid. but maybe im not understanding something.

should answer most if not all your questions concerns. 2K mufflers i believe can be ordered new at your local nissan dealership's parts department, through a local parts yard, or from a 2k owner whom has swapped one out. it should bolt right on to the existing spot. only concern is fitting a twin tip in a spot designed for a single. it's a stock exhaust, but the design is pretty interesting. at low RPMs, it uses one chamber and at WOT, it uses a dual chamber design. that's the "ghetto man's" explanation. so yes it is considered restrictive and no it is not. depends on how many chambers are open. the point of getting a new exhaust is to allow more exhaust from the engine to escape. that's also the ghetto explanation. it gives more power. i believe the 2K exhaust gives somewhere in the range of 5 HP...
