Looks ok. There is a guy on here Vinipux who has H&R's (or at least used to) with stock wheels.

hate gaps too

my car has a heavy gap between wheels and car. When i have my stock rims like I have now, it looks kind of bad....when i have my 18" chrome, it looks a lot better, but still looks like it can use some upgrading....a 1.5 drop would be just about right...that looks good

Basically anything that makes the car lower will give a better look. Though, aftermarket plus size wheels tend to make the wheel gap more noticeable no matter how much of a drop you have. People say the lower you go, the better it looks but the more you have to sacrifice some ride comfort. I have Intrax (1.75" drop) springs and before I had plus size wheels, it was very noticable that my car was lowered, but even more when I had the plus size wheels on.

I roll on stock 15's. It looks fine but I will need new tires soon. So, I'm going to upgrade to 17x7.5 while am at it.

Justin, you seem to be more into performance than looks. IMO, the best performing setup for the buck would be the stock 15" SE rims, high performance Z-rated tires and good springs/struts. It's VERY important that you get new struts when you do springs. It's the spring rate that usually kills the strut, not the drop. Before I had my lightweight 16s, I ran around on my 15s. I thought it looked pretty good with the drop. It's definately not a looker, but it is clean. The 95-96 SE rims seem to look 10Xs better on a drop.
