97+ Taillight differences?

I know there is a difference between 97 and 95/96 taillights (top and bottom flipped for the most part) but how about 97 vs 98 or 99. Sometimes I get behind a max and i can swear the taillights look a little different from mine and a 95/96. Am I nuts and just seeing things?

The trunk lids are shaped a little differently and the bumpers on the 97+ stick out a bit more.

What I'm trying to figure out is if there is a difference between 97's and 97+'s(as in 98 or 99)

Sorry misread the post. There shouldn't be any differences.

No, there are no differences. It just may be that the color in your tail lenses might be slightly faded, but again, I have no clue to the condition of your Max. I just recently converted my whole 96 front and rear to 97+ and got brand new ones, and they look the same to any 97 around here.

I know what sarmast means. I've wondered myself also. Sometimes, the orange portion of a 97+ looks lighter or darker, depending on the car I see. And I notice that the lines seem like they alternate red and orange...

To me it seems like the brake light red is a little different hue in the 98/99's from the 97's

How much did that run you? I would like to get a 95-96 if it's not too expensive.
