Temp Gauge

Temp Gauge

Help...my temp guage is stuck on "C" is there any sensor type thing
i might wanna check?? what controls the guage?? and...the fans dont turn on..anybody know whats wrong??? help!! i seriuously dont want my engine to get cooked(

The temp guage and the cooling fan switch are usually on 2 different circuits. Look for a single wire sensor going into a coolant passage. Unplug and touch it to ground. Turn on you ign and see if the guage moves. If it goes all the way hot the sens is bad. I'll look under my hood tommorrow to see if I can tell you exactly where it is.

Follow the upper radiator hose to the water neck. The first brass sensor is the one for the sensor. Do you have auto climate control? If you fan doesn't turn on, I don't the temp gauge is the problem. You might have a stucked open themostate.
