00 16" 5th gen oem maxima wheels fit on 99 4th gen?

Does anyone know if the oem 17" x 7" alloys from a 2000 maxima se will fit on a 99 4th gen with 15" wheels? Is the bolt circle/spacing the same for the 4th and 5th gens?
Update: I did some research on Rockauto, looks like the 4th gens and 5th gens both have 4 1/2" 5 lug pattern.. so the bolt pattern is the same so that shoud work. BUT- my remaining question is: My 4th gen 99 max has 15" x 6" steel wheels. Would the 5th gen 2000 max 17"x7" wheels fit? Or is there risk of rubbing the tie rods strut spring seat?

My 99 has factory steel wheels w / plastic hubcaps. WAY lame.Glad to know the 5th gen 17" factory alloys will fit. Will the factory acorn lug nuts from my 99 steelies work with the 5th gen 17" factory alloys?

I’m saying ‘yes’ to your lug nut question as well.
The thing you may want to pay attention to is nut depth/height.
Although I have no experience with the 5th Gen wheels specifically, I can’t imagine that wheel’s thickness (thickness of the wheel material itself) isn’t notably increased from the OE steel wheel.
Just make sure that your OE lug nuts are deep/tall enough to compensate for the increased thickness of the new wheel’s alloy material.
Did that make any sense?

Yes, definitely. Much appreciate your help. I had my eye on a local set of 5th gen factory 17's, Your answers tipped the scale and helped me with my decision. I picked them up Saturday.. You're right, they bolt right up, no clearance issues and the factory acorn nuts from the steelies work just fine. The overall diameter is a bit larger on the 17's so it fills the wheel well nicely. This is exactly what I was looking for.
I think at some point I may have them powder coated gun metal. Gotta get new tires first. The 225/50 r17 tires are more expensive than the factory 15's. This car is my daily beater, so I'm not gonna go crazy with ultra-performance tires. Not going to completely cheap out either. I want a decent tire that performs well, low road noise, and long-lasting. Any suggestions?

You were correct some 2000's (GLE) did come with 16" alloy wheels. Those will fit along with the 2000-03 17" x 7" (SE) wheels will fit, Then 6th Gen Maxima 04-09 wheels will fit, certain 18" 350Z wheels will fit, G35, G37, Q50 wheels all fit! I'm running my 03 Maxima SE 17" x 7" wheels with 235/45/17 tires and there's enough room IMO for a 265mm wide tire it really depends on spring height and back spacing! But SE 17's really fit the 4th Gen really well!

What do you think of a bigger sidewall? there are tons of potholes here in NJ, prefer a taller sidewall if possilble. Do you think I could get away with 55's? 225/55R17 ?

The 235/45/17 aren't that low honestly... Maxima SE 17 x 7 wheel are nearly indestructible! The 6th Gen Maxima wheel aren't as strong and have been known to break at the hub and spoke area! Do what you need! What tire size is to low is 235/40/18 are IMO too low of a profile...I run that originally on some 18" x 7.5" alloy rims and man I must have repaired those aftermarket rims 3 times from slightly bending the rims in some deep potholes I didn't see till too late. I still have those rims in storage but I upgraded to TSW Bathurst (Gunmetal) 18" x 8" wheels with 245/40/18 on NITTO 555 G2 with lowered Progress technology sport spring and Adjustable Koni yellows and I will say my ride is spectacular! So set your ride up to ride complaint and with good handling! Good luck dude....

Good thing about these 2000-01 SE wheels you're showing us allows you to upgrade to a 6th Gen Front setup but you'll have to drill you spindles to accept those big 14 mm torque member bolts, but those 15" steelies will never fit again nor will 16" wheels.
I upgraded to 95 Q45 front brake assemblies with a minor amount of grinding on torque members to make clearance for the Q45 rotor. The outer pad will need to be notched to match the outboard caliper and the 15", 16" and 17" fit like a glove!
