I am trying to replace bank 2 sensor 1 oxygen sensor the one in front of the radiator. I am using the oxygen sensor removal tool but there no room to fit a rachet to turn the tool.

Been a while since I've done one.
As I recall, I attached an extention between the socket and the wrench.

You should have several extention's available when working on this car. 3 inch, 6 inch, 12 inch. You might want put a couple together for still longer reach.

You might also want to consider finding a cheater pipe.

Def recommend extensions so you can go over the crossmember. An open ended wrench may also work.

If the old one is junk, cut the wires and use the closed end of a 22mm wrench.

Alternatively, find a different style O2 tool.

I was trying to attach an extension from the front. The lip of the heat shield is blocking me from attaching the extension.

Looks like you need to get under the car to do this.

Did this recently. Done from under the car, there is some space after removing the plastic splash guards. PB blaster and breaker bar required. If its the original sensor/ been on there a while you will most likely break your ratchet trying to remove it, so use the breaker bar. It may be a touch easier if you do it after driving, but try not to burn yourself. Torch is always the last resort, but it's sometimes needed with bolts that wont budge.
