New battery keeps dying out

Bought a 98 last year, ran fine with zero issues. Drive it maybe once every two weeks. During the winter the battery died out and needed to be replaced. So I replaced it with this new battery and it’s been dying out every week everytime I go to drive it. Can’t understand why. The only thing I have on it is the standard alarm lock/unlock. It doesn’t even have a radio in the car yet. Once it’s boosted it’s fine, if I go to drive it again 3 days later it’s fine and will start with no issues. If it’s anything past a week then I have to get it jumped again. Makes no sense.
Any one had this issue or can think of a reasoning why this is happening?
Took it to my auto shop and they said they don’t see anything wrong 🧐

I have two words for you: parasitic drain.

Many videos on Youtube on how to diagnose. Here's one.

I did hear that term before but the car isn’t even making any noise when I try to start it. Straight dead with not even a click. Would that still be linked to parasitic drain? Crazy part is I had the battery checked and replaced. So this makes no sense to me. Can’t be two new batteries in a row that’s the issue you know.

Yes

Are you confirming the battery is dead with a multimeter after a week's time, or are you assuming it's dead because you don't hear a click? All dash lights are off too when you say it's dead?

If all the dash lights are on and the battery is tested to have enough voltage, and you don't hear even a click or the car trying to start, then your starter is likely the culprit. Also, as you try to start the car, jiggle the key and apply light pressure in all directions and see if that starts the car. If jiggling the key/applying pressure starts the car, then your ignition switch is bad.

Do you have any functions like lights, etc working when it doesn’t start?

I’ve had all 5 issues over the years on different cars: alternator, starter, actual dead battery, ignition switch, aftermarket radio drain...

Being that there is no click, ignition switch does seem to sound likely. Bad starters usually click or spin or do something. But if everything is completely dead (lights, door, windows, etc), it’s definitely a drain
