High idle, hard start, lurches at low speed, now no start
First post here what is up!
have a '96 maxima that runs fantastic at 3000+ rpm, but sometimes lurches at low speeds, and occasionally does not start at all.
Every time it stops starting I change the crankshaft position sensor and it starts up again.
took it to a nissan dealer yesterday and they were trying to get me to replace the ecu again because there is no fuel injector pulse, but Im thinking thats just the bad crankshaft sensor, they didn't want to test it so I'm going back tomorrow with the new sensors because I bought them anyway.
Ill have a new set of crank/camshaft position sensors (standard brand), but is there anything else that might cause this?
I have changed the following about 2000 miles ago:
the ecu/ecm (its a manual car, but the ecu is for an automatic --its all I could find--)
feul pump
fuel filter
a few ignition coils
starter
crankshaft position sensors 3 times now
the speakers also sometimes only work on one side
the ignition switch may be bad?
am I just buying cheap sensors and paying the price?
codes:
don't think any of these would stop the car from starting but maybe the p1445 is causing the weird idle?
p1445
p1400
p1605
p0600
p1320
p0500
