max red/white tails

max red/white tails

Hey have any of you taken the orange out of the tail light useing a heat gun.how did it turn out? was the glue all messy? i know you can buy the diamond cut tails.

Use the oven instead of the heat gun. Much better.

Yea basically. I redid my right side by putting it lense side up on some aluminum foil with the oven set at 200 degrees for 5-6 minutes, and it came off easier than I thought it would. Be sure to unscrew the 5 screws holding in the actual lense to the housing.

I did it almost the same. Except I used a dish towel instead of the foil and put it in for like 225 for 11 minutes or so. Mine was very stubborn to take off after trying many temps/times.
