Remove the spark plug from #2. Does it smell like gasoline.
bring your nose close to the tailpipe.
do you smell raw gasoline?
Fuel injectors tend to fail at this age.
they cause problems like this.
people fix everything except for the injector.
Only to eventually replace the injector as a final and successful repair.

Ok sorry about my rambling it’s a 98 max 3.0 first week of December 22 felt a misfire scanned it turned out #2 cylinder coil shorted out I replaced it problem fixed. So it has 85,000 on I figured they all would fail soon so I bought the other 5 on rock auto and installed with new plugs during this time timing chain I could here it at start up so I had that installed also with cam gears and chains the whole kit when I picked up car was not throwing no codes but had slight misfire not while moving but at stop that’s where I’m at now and no I didn’t change fuel injectors as always any help would b appreciated I’m taking it back to see what mechanic comes up with also thank you

In my opinion replacing the timing chain was totally unnecessary. None of us have done this, even in engines of well over 300,000 miles and much more.
They are not known to fail. Some of us replace the tensioner. Occasionally the chain guides fail.
But not in super low miles cars such as yours.
Common causes of misfire could be
1. A leaky valve cover leaking oil into a plug well
2. A leaking fuel injector
3...A misfiring coil.
Pretty much in that order.
The car works best with NGK plugs. Others can misfire.
Which brand of coil did you install. Some don't work as well as others.
Have you checked the spark plug for smell and wetness like I asked you to? Does the exhaust smell like gas?
it's the engine difficult to start after it's been off for several hours ? If so, does it emit a stinking gray cloud when it finally does start. All these things indicate fuel injector issues. Many of us have failing injectors.
Many fail just due to age. A failing injector does not cause a check engine light most of the time.

Welcome to the forum.
We help our members identify the actual problem.
or at least eliminate other possibilities.
Firing the Parts Cannon at a problem gets expensive.
Sometimes the Parts Cannon is fired while chasing wild geese.
Seems like the shorting pigtail by the MAF was the actual problem.
